Check out our class groupings and descriptions below for general guidance, but note, our teachers will gladly offer modifications to both make the practice more accessible and to amp it up in each class! As you approach your practice, please remind yourself that yoga is not competitive and it does not matter how "good" you are, or what "level" you are at, or what your neighbor is doing. Your mat is your private island, free of judgments (of yourself or others). If we look to others, it is only for inspiration and suggestions. Our truest guide is our own body and intuition. On or off the mat, our practice empowers us to lead from the heart.
Classes range in duration from 45 to 90 minutes, with most being 60 or 75 minutes long. Currently we do not offer hot yoga.
Align to Bliss(Level 1+) is a slow yoga that emphasizes alignment, building poses from the ground up, mindfulness and utilization of props. The class is especially welcoming to beginners and anyone coming back to yoga after a hiatus or injuries. It is also great for all those who like to focus on alignment, or enjoy a slower yoga practice to build flexibility, strength and inner focus.
Blissful Flow (Level 1 & 2+) - a slow to medium paced vinyasa flow -- accessible to those newer to yoga, and appropriate for intermediate and even advanced students who prefer to savor each pose a little longer, striking that blissfully perfect balance between gentle and vigorous approach to their practice.
Unwind & Restore is a blend of gentle, yin and restorative yoga. The practice is very meditative with emphasis on breathing techniques that sooth and rebalance the body and mind. Props allow us to modify the poses to make them safe and appropriate for all levels of yoga students, from beginner to advanced.
Yin Yoga is a slow deep stretching form of practice intended to work on the deeper layers of our body with extended length holds of poses. A typical class may feature fewer posture changes than other class styles and props are provided for proper support. The long holds provide an opportunity to go deep into the poses, increasing flexibility in the tendons, ligaments and even connective tissue(fascia.)
Radiance Flow (Open Level) - (Vinyasa Yoga) This class turns up the heat to radiant! It builds to a vigorous (medium to fast paced) flow and it includes some advanced asanas. It is recommended that you have knowledge of the basic yoga postures in advance. Modifications are welcomed and will be offered, whether to make the poses more accessible or more challenging. The practice gradually mellows out to finish with a blissful meditation and savasana.
Ashtanga & Mysore (Open Level) - (Vinyasa based - Advanced & Beginner) Led Ashtanga class focuses on group instruction of Primary Series Ashtanga class. Note: The 1-hour class may not complete the full Primary Series. The Mysore style is open class time with an instructor present for each student to build their practice on an individual basis. You may enter and leave anytime during the allotted time. Have questions? Ask us!
Aerial Yoga (Open Level) - this class is for existing yoga practitioners but no aerial experience is required! We will do our best to make this an amazing experience for beginner to advanced aerial yogis alike! Let's fly!
Gentle Aerial Yoga (Level 1+) - this class is a wonderful place to start for beginners and those seeking a more relaxed aerial yoga practice.
Goddess Flow / Prenatal Align to Bliss (Prenatal and Women-Only Yoga) - This class is primarily geared to expectant moms, but welcomes other women.
Kids Yoga - we have pop-up Toddler Yoga (Adult and Me) classes geared to the 0 to 4 age group. We also have kids yoga parties and may offer other age groups on a more regular basis if you have a group of kids who'd like to start a class together. Kids yoga improves focus and school performance, and develops better posture, physical agility, strength and flexibility.
Whether kids can come to the regular classes is very child specific. We find that, generally, kids 12 and over are fine in classes if motivated and accompanied by an adult guardian. At 14 and over they may be mature enough to attend on their own.
