Aerial yoga hammocks in a studio.

AERIAL YOGA – Uplift, Uplevel and Rebirth Your Yoga Practice!

SPRING IS HERE STIRRING UP DESIRES TO FEEL RENEWED! AERIAL YOGA MAY JUST BE WHAT YOU NEED TO FLOAT YOU OUT OF THE WINTER DOLDRUMS AND FLY YOU INTO AN EXUBERANT CELEBRATION OF LIFE!

Take a moment to just feel it! Close your eyes and focus on your breath as you gently sway in the hammock. Allow yourself to feel weightless and free as you relax and let go of stress and tension. Ahhh, shavasana in a hammock is like being in your own private cocoon of bliss!

Curious to learn more before you give it a try? Aerial yoga is a type of yoga that incorporates the use of a fabric hammock or swing to support and suspend the body during yoga postures. With the support of the hammock, you can practice your favorite poses like warrior, tree, and sun salutations in a whole new way. You may try poses you never even thought possible for you, but now with the support of the silks they feel totally accessible, and the alignment just makes sense!

Besides that next level bliss (and the fun on the way of getting there), are there any benefits of aerial yoga, you ask. Here are a few —

 — Decompression of the spine: when your body is hanging freely, it helps alleviate pressure and tension in your back and neck

 — Increased flexibility

 — Improved balance

 — Reduced stress, building strength and endurance

 — And a whole new perspective on life!

Yes, indeed! Nothing like the experience of flying to illuminate what ‘lightness of being’ truly means!
